Visit Us at the Fight for Air Climb This Saturday

May 12, 2011

Do you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder? Do you know someone with COPD?

The American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb will be held this Saturday, May 15 at 10 am at The Equitable Building downtown.

Volunteers race up the 32 floors to raise awareness for a variety of lung disorders including COPD, asthma, emphysema, lung cancer, and second hand smoke. The event also acts as a fundraiser for the American Lung Association, funding their wide variety of programs across the state.

Around 400 climbers have already committed to the event, but it’s not too late! You can register online for $25.

32 flights of stairs just not enough? If you so desire, climbers will have the option to race the Equitable Building twice for a total of 64 floors.

Since we are always up for supporting a good cause, NeuroTrials will be participating as a sponsor at the event. We aren’t quite brave enough to tackle all those stairs, but stop by our table for information on current and upcoming COPD studies, cold bottled water, ice packs, and more. See you Saturday!

Catch up on past segments.

You can check out the segments live during the 6:30 am portion of the show on Wednesday & Thursday.

Tomorrow, Dr. Lacey sits down with Karyn Greer to discuss the result later school start times may have on the number of accidents involving teenage drivers.

Finally, on Thursday Dr. Rosenberg is invited into Jill Becker‘s home to share tips on how to make your bedroom most conducive to peaceful sleep. His segment will be divided and shown throughout the 5-7 am show.
